Vincent Kriechmayr confirmed himself at the highest levels already shown in the previous seasons, making a high quality vintage 2018/2019, from the two world medals (silver in super-g behind Dominik Paris, bronze downhill behind Jansrud and Svindal ) at the World Cup of super-g touched and lost again in the duel with the blue ace, up to the many placings throughout the entire arc of the season and the splendid victory in the descent of Wengen.
The 27-year-old from Gramastetten (turning 28 next October 1st) was part of the "expedition" of Austrian sprinters on Lake Wolfgangsee, in the province of Salzburg, for a day dedicated to meetings with the media and an exhibition on skis 'water. "Well, let's say I feel better with real skis on my feet," Kriechmayr smiled after his test.
Together with Matthias Mayer, the eternal Hannes Reichelt, the returning Max Franz and the various Striedinger, Walder, Kroell, Krenn and the emerging Danklmaier, the preparation is already in full swing and August will be a key month before the South American trip with the downhill skier from Wunderteam headed for Chile.
