A few days after the FIS congress in Milan, during which the president Johan Eliasch was re-elected, in addition to formalizing the calendars of the next World Cup, the members of the "Club 5 Ski Classics" met in South Tyrol to lay the foundations for the 2022/23 season. During the traditional spring meeting, which took place this year in Caldaro, the representatives of the top events of the white circus addressed various issues. "Also in the future the members of Club 5 Ski Classics will have to continue to work together to promote their interests, they will have to continue to network, organize and present themselves in a compact way in front of the FIS", said the president of Club 5, Srecko Medven of the organizing committee of Kranjska Gora. For the first time in two years, the meeting, which was also attended by FIS race directors Markus Waldner, Hannes Trinkl and Peter Gerdol, was once again held in attendance. Club 5 Ski Classics was founded in 1988 by Val Gardena, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Kitzbuehel, Wengen and Val d''Isère. Today the union, which acts in the interest of the organizing committees of the Ski World Cup, includes as many as 19 locations of the maximum circuit.
