A grand finale for the Italian youth championships with the women's giant and men's slalom titles, for the second and final day of the technical competitions in Courmayeur. Yesterday at the foot of the podium in "her" slalom, today Beatrice Sola regained the gold medal in giant comeback: the thirty-year-old Falconeri Skiteam, in fact, managed to put her second specialty youth championship on the bulletin board - the third considering also that of combined last year in Pila - thanks to the overall time of 1''51 "45, mocking for just one cent, at the end of a very fierce challenge, Annette Belfrond (Centro Sportivo Esercito) who yesterday dominated the slalom. Alice Pazzaglia (Ski Racing Camp A.D.) came back in third place, finishing just 17 cents from the winner. Giulia Valleriani at the foot of the podium, with Francesca Carolli fifth and Caterina Sinigoi sixth complete the upper districts of the ranking; today's race was also valid for the Italian Youth GP (athletes born between 2001 and 2005 who are not part of national teams), which saw the victory of Alice Pazzaglia, ahead of Giulia Valleriani and Francesca Carolli. The men's slalom also saw the podium in a few cents, with Tommaso Saccardi (born in 2001 who this year we saw on his debut in the World Cup) who burned Edoardo Saracco for 19 cents, in great shape if we think about medals brought home from Piedmont in 2003 to the recent EYOF in Finland, and 24 Corrado Barbera (born in 2002), who kept Jonas Bacher, Gianlorenzo Di Paolo and Marco Abbruzzese down from the podium.
