In Solda, two days to close the FIS season on Italian snow: Sofia Pizzato dominates in a giant way

Eight races organized by the Livata Ski Club, which had already opened the 2021/22 vintage in November: all the results.

Two days to close the season, after having inaugurated it almost 6 months earlier on the same snow. The last FIS races in Italy, also in Solda, were organized by the Livata Ski Club which, between Thursday and Friday, staged four slaloms (two for women and two for men) and as many giants. The start between the narrow poles, with the Belgian Axelle Mollin great protagonist winning both tests: the first slalom with over a second margin against the blue Johanna Taschler and Elena Dal Vecchio, the second preceding the Latvian Noa Blok and the '' Austrian Isabel Hofherr. The men's slalom, on the other hand, saw the Bosnian Emir Lokmic sign the double: Goffredo Mammarella won a second (in the first race) and a third place, with the Israeli Itamar Biran third in race-1 and Giovanni Zazzaro who got the place of honor in the second round. In giant, instead, one-two by Sofia Pizzato: the Paduan born in 1998 dominated the scene, beating Isabel Hofherr by almost 4 seconds in race-1, with Elena Dal Vecchio third, and by almost 5 "the same Austrian with Mollin third , in front of the same Dal Vecchio, in race-2. Jan Skorepa instead prevented Julian Voegeli from getting another double in the men's giants: the first saw the Swiss win by 34 cents against the Czech, who took revenge in the second by trimming 8 tenths to the Rossocrociato. The podium was completed by two Italians: Maximilian Ranzi third in race-1, Tommaso Canclini in the last challenge between the wide doors that closed the Solda event yesterday.
