Alice Robinson has arrived in Valle Nevado to train in speed events, while Holdener’s preparation gets into full swing amid Ushuaia snowfall

There was intense activity in Ushuaia again today, despite some pretty tough weather conditions, with snow having fallen in recent hours. The entire Italian women’s national team is involved, from the speed specialists to the technical-event specialists, along with Petra Vlhova and the leading Swiss racers, from Camille Rast to Wendy Holdener, whose preparation is now getting into full swing.

The Norwegians’ training continues in New Zealand, led by Haugan and McGrath, particularly at the Ohau venue, which also welcomed Lara Colturi a few days ago. Paula Moltzan, meanwhile, left at the end of the first week of September, returning home for a few days; last night, she was in the stands in New York to watch the US Open tennis quarter-final between Ben Shelton and Carlos Alcaraz.

While Mikaela Shiffrin’s return is expected in Portillo, where she will train in Chile again over the next 2–3 weeks, Alice Robinson has arrived in Valle Nevado. The 24-year-old from Queenstown spent a full month training at the resorts back home in New Zealand, moving between Coronet Peak and Lake Tekapo and often joined by Zrinka Ljutic (who has herself only recently returned from her overseas trip). On South American snow, she will focus on downhill and super-G. In 2025/26, especially before her accident in Tarvisio (although she returned to the podium in Soldeu after the Olympics), she achieved her first top-three finishes in super-G and also her first victory, right at the season opener in Sankt Moritz.

And what about Marco Schwarz? After arriving in Chile more than a week ago and making his first approach at El Colorado, he is now training in speed events at La Parva with his Wunderteam teammates and, among others, the Italians led by Dominik Paris.
