After the two days dedicated to junior national competitions, in Livigno it is time for the FIS slalom at the senior level.
And after the seal in the only event staged last weekend in Solda, but in that case in “his” giant, Alex Hofer repeats himself between the narrow poles dominating the first challenge on the Valtellina snows. The 27 year old of the Fiamme Gialle won with a time of 1 '' 40 "31, trimming Damian Hofer 70 cents and 83 to the Japanese Shiro Aihara, third.
Fourth place for Corrado Barbera, born in 2002, 87 hundredths from the leader and fifth for Stefano Cordone, 90 hundredths late and just 0 ”07 from the podium.
In the women's race, the victory went to 23 year old from the Bormio Ski Club, Marika Mascherona, who stopped the time trial with a time of 1 '' 43 "47, ahead of Vera Tschurtschenthaler, behind by 52 cents, and Carlotta Marcora, with 1" 17 at a disadvantage. Fourth place for Petra Unterholzner (at 1 ”30), fifth for Lucrezia Lorenzi, at 1” 62. Two more slaloms are scheduled for Sunday, with the men's race also valid for the senior Italian Grand Prix classification.
