Central Alps, great giant work completed in Saas-Fee. Watched at the Stelvio from next Monday

The balance of Alessandro Serra, manager in charge: "It was the first real meeting of the season, the boys had already done a great job with their respective clubs."

Positive results for the meeting held on the Swiss Allalin glacier, in Saas-Fee, for the group of the Central Alps committee. The coaches Alessandro Serra, Michelangelo Tentori and Sabrina Fanchini, with the help of Omar Anzi, given the excellent snow conditions, set their work focusing mainly on the giant slalom. “Saas-Fee - says Serra, former head of CdM's blue gigantists - was the first real meeting of the season. In the first in June we met the guys, also from a technical point of view and we set the schedule, in the second in Hintertux we were disadvantaged by the weather conditions, while in Switzerland we started to work seriously. However, we were pleased to note that the guys have done a good summer job with their clubs and the preparation is at the right point. From now on, with Mich and Sabrina, we will begin to increase the intensity of training in order to be ready for the first races in November with about 50 days of preparation ”. On the Swiss glacier, the girls and boys of the committee devoted themselves mainly to work between the wide gates; the conditions were optimal, so much so that the strongest national teams of the World Cup were present. Thanks to the excellent relationship with the Norwegian coaches, the Central Alps were also able to take advantage of the tracks where Jansrud and his teammates trained and this certainly motivated them even more. The next meeting with team A will take place in an indoor facility, probably Wittenburg and, of course, will be dedicated to slalom. As soon as they returned from the trip to Saas-Fee, Serra and Tentori already have their bags ready for the first meeting, scheduled from Monday 6 to Thursday 9 September, with the Osservati team on the Stelvio glacier. Group composed of Luca Cremaschini, Marco Facci, Andrea Pruneri, Lorenzo Sambrizzi, Francesco Valzelli, Enrico Vavassori, Camilla Antonioli, Cecilia Fantoli, Martina Lazzeri, Sofia Parravicini and Martina Resinelli, but also Martina Marangon, included in team A. "From Monday - Serra continues - we will have the first meeting with the observed group and it will be an opportunity to get to know each other, talk to the coaches and agree on the line to follow from here to the start of the races. Everyone, team A and Osservati, must always give their best because at the time of the call-up for the races we will not have prejudices, whoever goes faster will have the place in the team. Naturally, those who have had more, in terms of preparation, will have to give more. So the games are open until the 'last'.
