Less than two weeks before the start of the World Cup: on the Rettenbach conditions ok to work, the New Zealander also started yesterday.

Soelden, here we come. All ready to climb into the Oetztal valley, to test the Rettenbach glacier which, on October 23-24, will host the traditional opening of the 2021/22 World Cup. There is snow and also the weather helps, in this week which can be used, until Saturday, to ski in the location that will open the maximum circuit (finally with the return of the public to the side of the slope); from Wednesday-Thursday there will also be the Azzurri, with the big players today engaged in Milan in the FISI Media Day (with Bassino, Brignone, Goggia, Paris and De Aliprandini) before putting their boots back on for finishing, which will then pass from Val Senales before returning to Soelden a couple of days before the big event. Yesterday Alice Robinson also arrived, at her first real training on European snow, after the great block of work done at Coronet Peak by the New Zealander, one of the great favorites in Soelden where she won in 2019. They chose instead the Pitztal glacier, a stone's throw away from Soelden, Alexis Pinturault and Henrik Kristoffersen, perhaps the two most anticipated men together with Marco Odermatt, who is preparing instead with the Swiss team in Diavolezza. Also the Sunday of the phenomenal Nidwalden was dedicated to a tough session on the track: we don't stop anymore, less than two weeks before the opening.
