Blardone recounts the return to Fisi and the youth project: "The goal to bring them to the Cortina World Cup 2021"

The former blue gigantist, after the experiences as coach of Ian Gut, chosen by the federation for a new concept of growth linked to the talents of the future

We've been listening to him for three seasons now for the comment for Raisport, but in the three years since his retirement from competition, which took place at the giant of the World Cup finals in Sankt Moritz, in March 2016, Max Blardone never left the track. As announced a few days ago, revealing the C teams, with Max Carca at the helm of the Italian national teams and the group observed, the winner of 7 races in the World Cup returns to Fisi for a very important collaboration. "It is an innovative project, an idea that I have been cultivating for a long time and which is inspired by my personal experience combined with cutting-edge preparation techniques, with a keen eye for the winning formats used by some foreign nationals - explains Blardone himself - The basic idea is a renewed concept of "teamwork": the goal is to provide a 360-degree preparation to train professionals immediately. Not only therefore I work on the track but also a specific athletic training program with a focus on motivational and psychological aspects. Although alpine skiing is an individual sport, the role of the team is fundamental ”. Team formation? Here is how the athletes of the future were chosen: “We focused on elements with technical and physical qualities, with high potential and above all with the right attitude. I call it "victory for victory", which must never be lacking in a winning athlete. They are boys who have been watching carefully for years and today they have a great opportunity, that is being the protagonists of an important project that aims to prepare in the right way those who could become the athletes of the Italian national team in the coming years. I will follow the boys from the athletic preparation, stimulating also the motivational aspect, attentive to their sporting and human growth. I can only thank President Roda for believing in this program, allowing me to put it into practice ". Blardone aims very high, even in the short-medium term objectives: "First of all, we aim for the medals of the Junior World Championships, then the arrival in the World Cup and the participation in the senior world championship in Cortina 2021. This last appointment can be within the reach of these young athletes and we will work to be present at best ”.
