What a party for the French in Kitz: a gondola for Grange and Lizeroux, in the presence of Worley

The organization of Hahnenkamm Rennen awarded, after the conclusion of their careers, the prestigious award to the two French slalomists winners in the temple. And with Tessa (Julien's girlfriend) there was also time for a visit to the Streif ...

A few weeks ago there was the “classic” delivery, the one to the last winner of the slalom on the Ganslern who had never yet received a gondola from the Kitzbuehel cable car, namely Dave Ryding. This weekend, however, the organizing committee of the most iconic stage of the World Cup, decided to reward the two French champions who won some time ago in the temple of Kitz, but had not yet received that special recognition (even if their name on the gondolas was already present). These are Jean-Baptiste Grange, who triumphed in the final race of Hahnenkamm Rennen in both 2008 and 2011, and Julien Lizeroux, who conquered the Austrian temple in 2009. "Kitzbuehel is everything, even for us French athletes - the words of the two-time specialty world champion, who retired at the end of the 2020/21 season and a few weeks later. Lizeroux - If you win here, you win for 'eternity ”. “I raced here for the first time in 2000 - added Julien Lizeroux - I celebrated my first win on Ganslern in 2009 and I raced on the Streif in 2010, where I may not have been the fastest, but it was a dream of childhood that came true ". And with his girlfriend Tessa Worley, Lizeroux then headed right on the Streif for a kind of golf game, on that slope so magical that, in a few months, it will be completely whitened again and will give the usual, incomparable magic.
