The week of the USA championships ended in Copper Mountain: slalom title in Winters

National high-level review on the snows of Colorado, with many CdM athletes who tested themselves towards the start of the season. Triple medal for Cochran-Siegle, who triumphed in super-g.

A week entirely dedicated to the 2020 national championships in the United States, but with the possibility of seeing very interesting things also for some foreign athletes (see the German sprinters) who are preparing their debut in the World Cup. At Copper Mountain we started with Katie Hensien and River Radamus new young giant champions, while Breezy Johnson and Jared Goldberg, two highly experienced athletes for the stars and stripes national team, took the downhill title. Alice McKennis Duran won the national championship as regards the super-g (also winning the next FIS race ex aequo with Cashman), beating Keely Cashman and Johnson herself, while in the same discipline she got the first gold, after the two seconds places in giant and downhill, for Ryan Cochran-Siegle, who finished third overall in the race that saw the Germans Jocher and Baumann (already winner in downhill) prevail over all. Over the weekend it was the turn of the slalom: both in the race valid for the US title and for the subsequent FIS, AJ Hurt (class 2000 decidedly expected for a couple of years already) dominated, leaving Cashman another silver and to Hensien the bronze. Among the men, the new national champion is Luke Winters, the acrobatic class' '97 already seen several times protagonist in CdM, who regulated the duo composed of Seymour and Leever, with the latter having won the second slalom valid as FIS race, beating Ritchie and Winters himself.
