The show that will kick off the two weeks of the world championships is organized by the Cortina 2021 Foundation in collaboration with Triumph Group International, one of the largest international event organization agencies, and will develop into a narrative made of lights and sounds capable of giving body he culture and history of Cortina d''Ampezzo, home of winter sports since the epic times of the 1956 Olympics.

From the past to the present and always directed towards the future, the Ceremony will be a story in which sporting values are the lifeblood of growth and development of communities and territories, then opening up to the splendid human and natural landscapes of the Veneto (with a particular focus on the cities of Venice and Verona, also UNESCO World Heritage Sites), up to the great variety of environments nationwide. In particular, the synaesthetic performances of the Venice Carnival will be of great visual and emotional impact: the Serenissima, Queen of the Waters, finds in Cortina her ideal Queen of the Snows, two pearls of a territory unique in the world.
It will be this scenography to welcome Tina Maze, world and Olympic champion who will wear a wonderful dress signed by Antonia Sautter's Venetian atelier. The show of visual, musical and vocal suggestions will continue with the bewitching atmosphere of the Verona Arena, testifying to the uniqueness of an Italian territory that is one of the best known and most loved worldwide. To represent the history and folklore of Ampezzo will also be the notes of the Musical Corps of Cortina d''Ampezzo, which boasts a band tradition that dates back to 1861. It will therefore be an ups and downs, a slalom, a path not only for skiing, but also for cultural and which will give voice to the pillars of Italianness, but which, at the same time, will run towards tomorrow, also focusing on young artists to give breath to a new hope.
