Double tile for France: all uphill season for Nastasia Noens and downhill skier Nils Alphand

Unexpected stops in the transalpine house, in a crucial period of summer preparation.

The unlucky period continues for Nastasia Noens, never completely recovering from the crusader accident occurred in the slalom of the 2016 Cup finals in Sankt Moritz, when the 31-year-old from Nice was constantly at the top of the specialty. The French slalomist has in fact had to return home early from the trip to Ushuaia, due to an injury to his right ankle which, according to the French federation itself, could mean a two-month stop and therefore the first seasonal races lost for Noens. Another problem, within the group B of the national speed team, involved the young Nils Alphand, a good prospect ready to have the first real chances in the World Cup, after winning the junior world super-g title in 2017: the 23-year-old son of Luc (and brother of the talented Estelle, who competes for Sweden instead) has returned home from the training he was doing with his teammates in Ushuaia, and risks losing much of the season, due to a form of pubalgia to be evaluated.
