It is called "Magoni Ski Academy" and we had already talked about it in recent months with Livio Magoni, ready to launch a project in which he strongly believes. Now the international ski school for the talents of the future has become a reality: the base was created in Vipiteno, where the native technician from Selvino, who won the last World Cup with Petra Vlhova and from this 2021/22 season is the reference point of the Slovenian Meta Hrovat, has been working for years now. His sister Paola, Olympic slalom champion, is involved "on the field" like her brother Oscar, a former footballer who will deal in particular with the managerial aspects of the academy that was born in the memory of father Franco. Paola Magoni spoke about it today on the columns of the Eco di Bergamo; in the piece by Federico Errante, the gold of Sarajevo 1984 underlined how it is “an intriguing and stimulating challenge, born thanks to many sacrifices and to avoid that many promising kids find themselves forced to leave skiing. The goal is to help them realize their dream ". The technicians are Diego Cattaneo and the Spaniard Juan Lago, with Beppe Costa the latest addition to the Magoni Ski Academy team, already at work with three boys who will be raised during this season: it is the Israeli Itamar Biran, 23 year old student at Bocconi and who has already taken part in the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics, in addition to the last four editions of the world championships, from Beaver Creek 2015 to Cortina 2021, and the two Americans Jack Bowers (born in 2000) and Cooper Iacobelli (2001), who aim at the Nor-Am circuit and the European Cup. "Next year we will have ten athletes, four girls and six boys - explained Livio Magoni - We work not only in Vipiteno, but with many collaborations from Ladurns to Val Gardena, as well as Pinzolo, Selvino and the Snow Arena in Druskininkai, in Lithuania ".
