First in print, then at the conduct of the Domenica Sportiva and finally to talk about the skiing of the '80s. One of the journalists most closely linked to the world of snow died today in Rome.

She was the voice of Paoletta Magoni's feat in the Sarajevo 1984 Olympic slalom, to then experience Alberto Tomba's first extraordinary feats on the microphone, starting with the legendary double in Calgary 1988.
Alfredo Pigna left today, at the age of 94 in "his" Rome, he was born in Naples in 1926 and grew up with print media, before making his entry into the Rai home already at late 1950s. A journalist who became popular thanks to the conduct of the Domenica Sportiva, which he drove with audience records until 1974, before diving into the world of skiing and becoming, alongside Guido Oddo and then as the first voice, the reference on television in those magical '80s, after having told the epic of the "Blue Avalanche" in previous years through the DS.
It was his colleague Franco Zuccalà who announced his death this afternoon: Pigna was also sent for TG1, but he had a thousand interests and was also a screenwriter and personal friend of Dino Buzzati, also writing the "Romanzo delle Olimpiadi".
