Here are the calendars of the next World Cup: 14 men's descents, only women in Zagreb

The FIS has formalized all the appointments for next season: more technical races than the fast ones for the women's sector, which will have the new Kvitfjell (in addition to Zermatt / Cervinia) and a double super-g in Cortina, but no Val d '' Isère. Garmisch saves the men's downhill, two are planned again in Kitz.

Here they are, the calendars of the 2022/23 World Cup in their entirety, without the hoped-for revolution by Johan Eliasch which, we recall, was partially "contained" with the elimination, at least for next season, of the '' idea of inserting the new combined downhill / super-g and giant / slalom. Quite classic program, therefore, albeit with some quite interesting news starting from the well-known one of the speed races on the Matterhorn, for the post-giant Soelden “Speed Opening”. The men will start on the Rettenbach on October 23, before 42 races divided as follows: 14 descents, only 7 super-gs, 10 giants and the same number of slaloms, in addition to the parallel of Lech / Zuers set for 13 November and third next stage, in fact, the two descents scheduled for Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 October in Zermatt / Cervinia. Usual weekend break before the North American trip, which will begin on November 26-27 with a descent and super-g in Lake Louise and the confirmation of the Beaver Creek triptych, with double descents and a super-g in Colorado, on the splendid " Birds of Prey ". We return to Europe with the Critérium de la Première Neige, or giant and slalom in Val d''Isère, then the Italian block starting from super-g and descent on 16-17 December on Saslong, in Val Gardena, with double giant again proposed on the Gran Risa of Alta Badia, and the night of Campiglio for the slalom on the Canalone Miramonti on 22 December. Finally, on the 28th and 29th for the last races of the year, downhill and super-g on the Stelvio in Bormio. Garmisch-Partenkirchen will open and close the month of January: yes, because the "Gudiberg" will have a fantastic night slalom on January 4, with the men who will not go to Zagreb after the controversy of last season, and the historic descent on the "Kandahar" on January 28 and followed by the traditional giant. In between, the great Swiss and Austrian classics: Adelboden with giant and slalom, Wengen with the confirmation of the super-g before the descent and slalom, as well as we will review the double descent on the Streif on January 20-21, for the Kitzbuehel triptych closed from the slalom, with the protagonists of the narrow poles protagonists two days later in the night race of Schladming. February will open with a slalom in Chamonix, on the 4th of the month and just before the World Championships in Courchevel-Méribel (6-19 of the month), then here is the announced return to the USA for another block of races. Two techniques in Palisades Tahoe, on February 25-26, three fast techniques (one super-G and two descents) in Aspen, from March 3 to 5. Finally, the double giant confirmed in Kranjska Gora, before the Soldeu finals scheduled from 13 to 19 March. CLICK HERE FOR THE COMPLETE CALENDAR OF THE MEN'S CDM FEMALE CUP There will be 41 women's races, for a very rich program that includes some more technical races, as there will be 11 descents, 8 super-gs, 10 giants, 11 slaloms and a parallel. Start in Soelden on 22 October, then a weekend break before the descents of Zermatt / Cervinia (5-6 November), followed by the appointment of Lech / Zuers which will be the only one for next year the PGS, apart from the World Cup. Levi will host two more slaloms, on November 19 and 20, then travel to Vermont for the two technical races on the Killington "Superstar", followed by the usual triple at Lake Louise, with two runs and super-g (December 2-4 ). Sestriere's return to the World Cup, almost 3 years after the January 2020 races, will take place a little earlier than expected: on the “Kandahar G.A. Agnelli ”there will in fact be a giant and a slalom on 10 and 11 December, with the move ahead of a week for the races of Sankt Moritz, which will have three with two descents and a super-g. No Courchevel, considered the World Cup, but above all Val d''Isère, and then it will go directly to 28-29 December with the usual two Austrian days: after Lienz, this time it's up to Semmering for giant and slalom, the restart in 2023 instead in Zagreb, with two slaloms on January 4-5 on the Sljeme hill. Short recovery time before the two giants of 7-8 January already set in Kranjska Gora, which in fact permanently replaces Maribor after the many cancellations (with often moving to the other Slovenian location) in recent years. Flachau will have its night slalom again (10 January, in 2022 it jumped due to the Covid situation), then downhill and super-g in St. Anton and here are the other Italian races. Important news for Cortina d''Ampezzo: three fast tests on the Olympia delle Tofane, with two super-gs (Friday 20 and Sunday 22 January) and a descent (Saturday 21), then on Tuesday 24 the giant show on the " Erta ”of Kronplatz. Closing of the month and pre-world block (unlike men, there will be no races in early February) in Spindleruv Mlyn, the town in the Czech Republic that will host the World Cup again on 28 and 29 January with giant and slalom . At the end of February (Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th) the double classic for speed in Crans-Montana, with downhill and super-g on Mont Lachaux, finally in March the great news of Kvitfjell (who lost the men's races), where we will see DH and SG on 4-5 March, the stay in Scandinavia with giant and slalom in Are (10-11), before the flight to Soldeu with the finals scheduled in the Principality of Andorra.
