Pietro Vitalini and his organization managed to involve fifteen ski clubs and about 100 athletes from all over the peninsula, for the appointment that took place on Wednesday 12 August in the Venetian town which, a few weeks ago, inaugurated the brand new synthetic material slope. made by Neveplast. "The Vitalini Start Contest is an absolute novelty for my format - says the former great downhill skier of the '90s Italjet - I have been organizing, during the winter season, the Vitalini Speed Contest: a speed test, on location prestigious as those of the World Cup, in which the little athletes reach important speeds in the final schuss of the slopes, where the great champions of world skiing competed shortly before.
My dream is to bring young skiers to speed in maximum safety. This summer edition in Falcade we called it Vitalini Start Contest because here the initial phase of the exit from the gate and the first pushes after the start are particularly crucial. It is not easy to train this technical gesture: the Neveplast set up designed for this type of training is an excellent alternative to snow, which we will soon find again with our appointments ”.
In Falcade, in addition to the guys from the Ski College Veneto and the Val Biois Ski Club, who did the honors, there were the guys from the sportmarket competition, as well as those from Ski Team Vallata Feltrina, Ski Team Alta Badia, Ski Team Fassa, Ski Team Sorapiss, Sci Club Orsello, SC Trichiana, Sc Sappada, Olimpo Ski Team, Us Monti Pallidi, Alpe Cimbra, Ski Team Alta Badia and SC Alleghe.
