FIS elections: Lehmann beaten and "disappointed" by Schroecksnadel, while Pinturault applauds Eliasch

Just the Swiss reference and number 1 of Swiss-Ski, the former downhill world champion in Morioka 1993, was the favorite at least until a few weeks ago. Lehmann concluded the first round, already decisive, under 22% against Eliasch's 54%, with the lack of support from Austria (and all that follows) which, according to what the media reports close to the events of the Wunderteam house, was justified by Peter Schroecksnadel with the change of some factors that would have led the now former president of the OESV (next June 19 the ratification of the new course in the hands of Karl Schmidhofer), who will be part of the FIS council at par by Lehmann himself, to withdraw support from the Swiss candidate to support Eliasch. “A great personal disappointment”, the president of Swiss-Ski defined it. The one who rejoices in the election of the Swedish millionaire, CEO of Head, is Alexis Pinturault. Of course, the winner of the 2020/21 World Cup has been competing with the Austrian brand for many years, but as explained to the newspaper Le Dauphiné, the transalpine champion (as well as Ted Ligety, full supporter of the new president) supports Eliasch as he knows well his ideas. "It was a surprising victory to the extent, but it is certainly excellent news for our world - the words of Pinturault - It will take time for changes, but they are necessary because the FIS needs to be redesigned and Eliasch is the" right man, let's just think about what we did with Head.
