EP Cut Resistant, FIS officially recognizes the need for cut resistant coveralls for safety

The product made in Italy by Energiapura and already requested by Austria, has been certified by the International Federation: a revolution starting from the 2021/22 season.

The obligation could come from the following year, but a big step forward has already been made. The FIS, in fact, has officially recognized the need to use a cut resistant garment, to guarantee the safety of athletes in competition and in training. “Cut Resistant”, the cut resistant fabric suit produced and made in Italy by Energiapura, is now certified by the International Ski Federation, which suggests its use already in the upcoming racing season. This is news of high impact in the national and international competitive environment, considering the increase in cutting accidents: the FIS, after the necessary analyzes and tests, has pronounced itself and in the text, updated to the 2021 vintage. / 2022, on the technical specifications for Alpine Skiing has inserted the rules for the use of cut resistant garments, determining a certification on the degree of resistance, specified by means of a stamp applied to the garment. Energiapura for over four years has been supplying the Cut Resistant to its athletes in the World Cup (Kristoffersen, Braathen, Robinson, Pinturault among others) and is also present at the Ski Clubs: Italo Panzanini (Responsible for the competitive sector EP), by virtue of this direct experience, he was invited as a consultant in the specific commission wanted by the FIS for the analysis of fabrics and the construction of the machine for the tests dedicated to certification. The Austrian federsci was the first, as a consequence of the new regulations, to turn to the Italian brand for supply: a pride for Made in Italy research and production. With the hope that such measures will also be taken for the youth categories, including Children because the safety of the athlete can only be in the first place.
