Double federal elections over the weekend, with the important regional assembly for the AC committee continuing in the name of continuity.

With 12,619 preferences and 74.24% of the votes available, at the end of the vote that was held on Saturday in Milan, at the Testori Auditorium in Palazzo Lombardia, Franco Zecchini was reconfirmed as president of the Central Alps. The other presidential candidate, Marco Gualazzi, received 4,814 preferences (27.56% of the available votes).
The vote was preceded by the interventions of the President of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana, and by those of Antonio Rossi, Undersecretary of Sport for the region, Marco Riva, President of CONI Lombardia, Claudia Giordani, Vice President of CONI Nazionale and Flavio Roda, number 1 FISI, who also played the role of president of the Regional Assembly.
The new board of directors in office for the four-year period 2022/26 is composed of lay councilors: Cristina Bonacorsi (10,087 votes), Guidina Dal Sasso (9,303 votes), Fabrizio Rainisi (8601 votes), Federico Sosio (8323 votes), Roberto Malvezzi ( 8015 votes), Adriano Faustinelli (7399 votes) and Michele Camarda (6440 votes). Carlo Riva was elected as technical councilor (362 votes). The following are members of the board as athletic advisers: Mattia Pegurri (1510 votes) and Andrea Vimercati (1368 votes). The members of the board of auditors are: Paolo Francesco Corbelli, president, with 14569 votes, Andrea Pizio (8123 votes) and Paolo Vollono (6021 votes), alternate is Angelo D''Abramo (4057 votes).
Andrea Ruggeri is instead the new president of the CLS (Lazio & Sardinia Committee) of the FISI. The election of the new president and council took place at the Palazzo del Coni in viale Tiziano. The director of SC Orsello Magnola was the sole candidate for the succession of Nicola Tropea, who had directed the committee for 32 years, and collected 75.49% of the valid votes. Andrea Caloro, Paolo D''Apollonio, Daniele Di Santo, Giulio Fiamma, Giacomo Mariotti, Giorgio Tognetti and Pietro Verdecchia arrive as councilors in alphabetical order.
For a handful of votes, the former president Tropea did not join the group of the council. Maurizio Paris and Margherita Lallini also enter to represent the athletes, and Giovanni Mizzoni for the technicians. Andrea Terrrinoni is the president of the Board of Auditors, Basilio Ventura the Alternate Auditor. “We have a lot of ideas - Ruggeri told Fisi.org - also studied with a good part of the elected councilors. Projects to promote our disciplines, communication and with institutions, and then certainly new impetus to competitive activities that we already have at a good level.
We want to support families so that the best athletes can reach national levels. We will also try to concentrate our efforts on organizing national and international events ”.
Relation with institutions decisive. “We have been missing him lately, partly because of our own fault, but also because of the covid. We will immediately open discussion tables with all the institutions, from the Lazio Region to the municipalities, to evaluate together actions to be implemented in support of the numerical and competitive growth of our athletes ".
