The number 1 of the FISI, waiting to understand what will happen at the level of national elections, among the four deputies of President Eliasch within the International Federation. The exclusion of Russia and Belarus confirmed, pending the revaluation in the autumn.

The newly elected FIS Council held its first meeting in Zurich, where it voted on a number of items on the agenda. First of all the choice of the four vice presidents, among whom Flavio Roda was appointed: the current number 1 FISI had collected the greatest number of consents during the recent Congress held in Milan, which had confirmed Johan Eliasch as president (not without controversy for the modalities of the election, in any case with a single candidate).
In addition to Roda, Roman Kumpost (Czech Republic), Aki Murasato (Japan) and Martti Uusitalo (Finland) have been appointed. The Council also approved a 10% increase in prize money for World Cup stages starting with the upcoming season, while Australian Dean Gosper joined the Executive Board, Hannah Kearney was named representative of the athletes and Niklas Carlsson will become Deputy Secretary General and will flank General Secretary Michel Vion.
Confirmed the exclusion of Russia and Belarus from FIS competitions due to the war in Ukraine, their positions will be reassessed in the autumn based on the evolution of the situation.
