The thousand post-career projects of Marcel Hirscher continue to divide between his natural environment, that of snow with the disruptive entry into the World Cup with his ski brand Van Deer, starting from the first big challenge on 23 October in Soelden , and a huge passion like that of engines.
The Salzburg champion has already committed himself at a competitive level between enduro bikes and various tests even with a MotoGP, but now the collaboration with Audi has brought him behind the wheel to commit to a new project, which will also take him to the track during the week -end of 23-25 September at the Red Bull Ring, the Spielberg arena that will host the next stage of the DTM (the German touring car championship which is a worldwide reference).
Fans in possession of a ticket for the event on the Austrian circuit will be drawn for an exclusive “passenger” race alongside the eight-time winner of the crystal ball, on both Saturdays and Sundays.
Yesterday Hirscher was behind the wheel for some tests at the “Misano World Circuit” dedicated to Marco Simoncelli in Misano Adriatico, with a car branded “Van Deer” as part of the collaboration with Audi and Red Bull that will likely lead to many other projects. “A dream come true - Marcel's words after the day on the Romagna circuit - and a real challenge.
