Alexis Pinturault at the helm of the team to try a new assault on the general World Cup, but also a decidedly important sprinter patrol, the talent of Clement Noel in slalom and the eternal Julien Lizeroux with a great desire to fight again among the rapid gates . The French Federsci has unveiled the formations that will make up the Equipe de France in the 2019/2020 season. The first important note: the career of highlander Julien Lizeroux will continue for more than 40 years, and on September 5th he will "unstuck" an anniversary that, at a competitive level, was not even reached by Patrick Thaler. They left the team led again by David Chastan, as noted, Thomas Fanara, Steve Missillier and Thomas Mermillod-Blondin, but the quality is not lacking from the technical sector to speed. In team A, in fact, we find as many as 16 athletes: the slalomists Clement Noel, Julien Lizeroux and Jean-Baptiste Grange (eager to return after the umpteenth injury suffered in Wengen), the gigantists Mathieu Faivre, Thibaut Favrot (promoted by team B ) and Cyprien Sarrazin, the multipurpose Alexis Pinturault, Victor Muffat-Jeandet and a block of high-level sprinters, with the young Bailet and Allegre promoted by the B, flanked by Theaux, Roger, Clarey, Muzaton, Giezendanner and Giraud-Moine. The situation for the women's sector is quite different: only 7 women in team A, led by the great boss Alberto Senigagliesi. The undisputed captain is Tessa Worley, who finds in the team the promising Clara Direz, who makes the "jump" from team B, and the experienced Nastasia Noens, Coralie Frasse-Sombet and Adeline Mugnier (Anne-Sophie Barthet and Taina Barioz retired ), while in the downhill sector there are difficulties, with Tiffany Gauthier and Romane Miradoli holding up the French flag. Excluding Margot Bailet, who returned with no great results during the past season, who wanted to clarify her position with a message entrusted to social media: â€œI would have the status of training partner in the speed team, which means financial participation on my part , or coach, physical trainer, medical staff ... I wanted to reassure my sponsors and the people who follow me: the motivation remains intact to find the financial, physical and mental means to compete at my level ".
