The men of the Saslong Classic, who every year send super-g and descent into the heart of Val Gardena, have chosen for the third time the group of fans of Otmar Striedinger, as the best fan club for the stage of the World Cup in High Adige staged in December 2018. The Oti Striedinger Fanclub has thus "withdrawn" the award in recent days, with thirty supporters who enjoyed an excursion in the Val Gardena Dolomites (supported by Dolomites Val Gardena), in the presence also of the Austrian downhill skier, with the partner and the child of only two months. Departure from Passo Sella with the cable car to the Sassolungo fork, to then reach the Toni Demetz refuge, with guests from Austria who were able to enjoy a spectacular view, enjoying an aperitif served by Heini Demetz. Fans and families were then accompanied by Genni Tschurtschenthaler, head of fan clubs for the Gardena stage, and by council member Thomas Wielander, from Passo Sella to the Comici Refuge, choosing the path through the famous "city of stones"; finally after lunch at the shelter, all at the Plan de Gralba, where a bus brought the fans back to Santa Cristina. "A wonderful day in the heart of our Dolomites - commented by Tschurtschenthaler and Wielander - We were particularly pleased that Otmar participated with the family, demonstrating the link with its fans and Val Gardena".
