Two flagship countries make men and women official for the opening on the Rettenbach.

Switzerland and France leave with so many possibilities and solutions, at the start of the 2019/2020 World Cup season and, in the short term, with several chances of a podium for the giants of Soelden.
The Rossocrociati, in fact, for the men's test line up a pretty good trio with Marco Odermatt, on the podium in the last two giants of last season, Loic Meillard and the returning (and highly anticipated after the 'knee injury) Justin Murisier. With them, also Gino Caviezel, Thomas Tumler (on the podium at Beaver Creek in December 2018), Cedric Noger (splendid 4th in Kranjska Gora), Elia Zurbriggen and an eighth element that will be chosen in the coming days.
Among women, we will see on the Rettenbach a Wendy Holdener now permanently at the foot of the podium even among the wide doors, Lara Gut-Behrami who seeks redemption even in giant, Michelle Gisin and Corinne Suter, both waiting to unleash then in speed, in addition to Jasmina Suter, Lindy Etzensperger, Simone Wild and Andrea Ellenberger.
HOUSE FRANCE
Training a little 'reduced for the cockerels in that of Soelden: injuries and retreats force women to a lineup with only five athletes, headed by the winner in the last edition, Tessa Worley, flanked by Clara Direz, Doriane Escanè, Coralie Frasse- Sombet and Roman Miradoli.
Among men, with Clément Noel who had already confirmed his absence to concentrate on the slalom, there will be one of the big favorites (and winner in the last men's race held on Rettenbach, or in 2016), Alexis Pinturault, in the company of Mathieu Faivre, Victor Muffat-Jeandet, Cyprien Sarrazin, Remy Falgoux and Thibaut Favrot.
