The two-time super-g world champion, who left the direction of the women's team to Peter Gerdol in 2019, will coach his country's women's national team. At the male level, Skavik confirmed and here the former Austrian women's coach is back.

There are several interesting news among the technical staff that the Norwegian Federation officially presented this week.
The main news concerns the return of Atle Skaardal: race director of the women's sector for the FIS until 2019 (his place was taken by the Tarvisian Peter Gerdol), the former sprinter norge returns to train after having already worked for his national team in the early 2000s, in that case with the men's team. The 'world gold of Sierra Nevada' '96 and Sestriere ''97 in super-g, in fact, this time will lead the women's sector. The deal is on a two-year basis and is not about the only change at the federal coaches level.
If the head of the men, Steve Skavik, has been confirmed to lead the sector, it is his predecessor Christian Mitter (who Skavik replaced in 2019) who returns to work for the Norwegian Ski Federation as a slalom and giant trainer.
The Austrian coach had coached the men's sector of Norway for 12 seasons, before the stormy farewell three years ago and the choice to work in his country as head of the women's national team, which he officially left a few weeks ago.
