The European Cup restarts, for the last appointments of this 2021, divided between Italy and Austria.
After the traditional slalom on the “Aloch”, the series of races by Ski Team Fassa moves to the San Pellegrino Ski Area for three speed challenges dedicated to the women's circuit, on the splendid “La VolatA” in Passo San Pellegrino.
After the World Cup last February, the continental review is back with two runs, between Sunday and Monday (start always scheduled at 11.00), and a super-g on Tuesday 21 December; today two trainings were staged, within a few hours, with the Austrian athletes in particular evidence. Michelle Niederwieser set the fastest time in the first test and signed the second performance in the replica, behind compatriot Emily Schoepf. In the first round the Tyrolean Christina Ager, probably the main favorite to win, had obtained the second best time with 51 hundredths of a second behind her teammate.
In anticipation of tomorrow's match, the two Swiss Juliana Suter, already a protagonist in the previous editions of the European Cup on “La VolatA”, and Delia Durrer are also worth keeping an eye on. In an Italian key, good performances for Elena Dolmen from Belluno, who obtained a fourth and an eighth time, then the Alto Adige Verena Gasslitter (eighth and twelfth), Federica Sosio from Bormina (tenth and seventeenth), and the athlete of Monica Zanoner home, from Fassana di Campitello, who recorded two interesting performances with the 17th and 18th time.

MEN AT GLUNGEZER
Between Sunday and Monday, the third and fourth giant of the men's European Cup will be staged on the Austrian snows of Glungezer. The concomitance with the double CdM race on the Gran Risa will prevent Giovanni Franzoni (engaged as Filippo Della Vite in Alta Badia) from defending his leadership in the continental circuit: appointment tomorrow, with the first heat scheduled at 9.00 and the second at 11.30 am, for a startlist that immediately offers the phenomenal Norwegian Alexander Steen Olsen, first and second in the two inaugural slaloms of the European Cup in Obereggen and Pozza di Fassa, bib number 1 in a race that will also count on Cédric Noger, winner of the '' last giant in Zinal in front of Franzoni, and in Italy on Tommaso Sala, at the start with the 5 before Pietro Canzio (bib number 15), while after 30 we will see Zuccarini, Kastlunger, Canins go in search of a good result , Bini, Taranzano, Talacci, Barbera and Di Paolo.
