Janka towards recovery, wants to leave for training in North America; another long stop for Sabrina Maier

Switzerland aims to find the man who gave her the last World Cup, even if her back continues to cause problems ...

Carlo Janka had to stop, during the summer training sessions, for new pains that had cast doubt on the entire preparation, but apparently the situation has improved in the last few days and the Graubünden sprinter has been able to train with his teammates team in Zermatt. No Soelden, of course, for the 33-year-old Swiss, but the goal now is to be able to participate in the long rally in North America, scheduled for next November 9th, approaching the first fast races in Lake Louise; the new responsible coach Reto Nydegger trusts that Janka can train together with Feuz and partners, as well as aiming to have Marc Gisin in the team, who has confessed in recent weeks that he still does not have the necessary confidence after the terrible injury suffered in Val Gardena last year December. NEW STOP FOR SABRINA MAIER The Austrian sprinter Sabrina Maier has yet to stop for the third in just over two years. The unfortunate class '94 from Salzburg, in fact, was seriously injured on Saturday in Soelden, where he was training in a giant; immediate visit to Innsbruck and merciless diagnosis, with a new rupture of the anterior cruciate of the left knee. Immediate operation, Sunday morning, and another lost season: "Initially I didn't want to believe that, in a moment, everything has to start again from scratch - Maier explained - I believe, however, that we must fight to return and thanks to the support of the people I have neighbors, I will resume again because the passion for skiing is too big to lose everything like this ".
