Karoline Pichler did not rejoice for a success at the level of FIS races since February 16, 2019, when she won the giant of Oberjoch; today, on the French snows of Flaine, the ''94 South Tyrolean class beat a handful of young Frenchmen, above all the talented Axelle Chevrier who finished second, with four tenths of a gap, in the giant that followed the two super-gs yesterday, in which Pichler had finished in fourth and eighth position (with a 5th place also for Cillara Rossi).
Considering also the good results in the super-g of the European Cup in Zinal, in particular the 14th place of the second appointment in Switzerland, for the two-time medalist at World Cup level jr, the return to the World Cup (he has not competed there since last season's giant in Kranjska Gora) may not be too far off.
Also in France, but in the town of Chatel, a FIS super-g was raced today with good Italian players: Federico Paini finished in third place, 64 cents from the winner, the Swiss Lukas Zippert, who anticipated by three tenths the transalpine Victor Schuller, while Mattia Cason finished sixth.
