Kristoffersen heads to Chile, Austrian speed racers arrive in La Parva. Swedish slalom racers are in Wittenburg

There is constant travel along the Europe–South America route, and Henrik Kristoffersen is also on a flight to Chile in these hours, after working in recent days inside the Wittenburg skidome, where the Swedish slalom racers led by Anna Swenn Larsson and Cornelia Oehlund arrived last weekend.

The Norwegian star will devote plenty of time to giant slalom in El Colorado, while his national-team teammates in the technical disciplines have been splitting their time for around ten days now in New Zealand between Cardrona, Lake Tekapo and Treble Cone.

Portillo and La Parva are the bases for Mikaela Shiffrin and her teammates, with Johnson, Wiles (awaiting Macuga; Lindsey Vonn’s return is clearly still a long way off, although she has at least resumed cycling outings), Cashman and Wright training alongside the reigning World Cup champion, even though for the Olympic downhill champion the first part of the overseas training camp ended a few days earlier than expected.

Just yesterday, the Chilean snow also became home for the coming weeks to Kira Weidle-Winkelmann, who left Ushuaia after the first training block in Argentina with Emma Aicher, with the German speed racer targeting her first World Cup victory.

In La Parva, the Wunderteam’s speed racers also began their first sessions, with the World Cup group of the Austrian men’s team, from Hemetsberger to returning Eichberger, at work with just over three months to go before the season’s first super-G, scheduled for late November in Copper Mountain, just as in 2025.
