Tormented by injuries in recent years, they left the home glacier to seek a new return in the next season.

Austria has found, at least for the very first contact with the snow after months of stop, two young sprinters who have been missing almost completely in recent years.
We are talking about Christina Ager, born in '95, and the unfortunate (born in '94) Sabrina Maier, finally on the track on the Hintertux glacier, returning from their respective knee injuries remedied last fall. The 24-year-old from Innsbruck stopped in November, falling heavily from a jump in training on the Colorado snow; right knee crusader knockout, as had already happened in Ager in March 2019 at the Austrian championships.
As for Sabrina Maier, from the Olympic season onwards there was no peace for the Saalbach downhill runner, between her knees and the fracture of the tibia and fibula of autumn 2018. Last October the last injury, with the crusader injury of the left knee, and now a new attempt to return to the white circus more than three years after the last appearance in the World Cup, which took place during the pre-Olympic Jeongseon races of March 2017.

A Dobbiaco, invece, le 10 km in alternato hanno regalato il successo a Davide Graz e Maria Gismondi, all'interno della cornice della Nordic Arena per quella che è stata la prima tappa della Coppa Italia invernale.
