The young Vittoria Cappellini athlete of the year at Druscié: "Results fruit of passion and commitment"

The Cortinese club concluded 2021 with a series of prizes awarded to celebrate a great year. The words of President Alberti.

The Druscié Cortina ski club celebrated the usual annual assembly online. Numerous were present including advisors, coaches, technicians, sponsors and parents. “The 2020-2021 season, despite the problems related to the health emergency, was full of successes and both the regional and national rankings saw numerous athletes from our club as protagonists. Here, the fact that stands out, beyond the successes of individuals, is precisely being a team, in all areas ”, said the president of the Druscié ski club, Flavio Alberti. “The results achieved are the result of passion and commitment, but also of a solid organization that involves coaches and athletes, management and secretariat, and which is supported by a pool of sponsors who share the same vision of sport with us. The support that the Municipality of Cortina guarantees us is also fundamental ”. The assembly was also, as a tradition, the moment of the awards. The most prestigious award, that of "Athlete of the year", went to Vittoria Cappellini, an athlete who in the 2020-2021 season won the Italian Youth Grand Prix, fast disciplines sector, and who thanks to this result was included in the Italian national team B. To Stefano Baruffaldi, athlete who last season gave Druscié the first points in the World Cup (24th in the giant of Santa Caterina Valfurva on 7 December 2020), and to Camilla Vanni, silver medal in super- g at the Italian Championships Allievi and gold in the giant of the international stages of Pinocchio on Skis, the award of "Meritorious Athlete" went, while Alessia Attolini and Federico Rossoni the "Shred passion award", recognition to athletes who, regardless of the results achieved, they put on the track commitment, perseverance and determination. Finally, the “Coach of the Year” award went to Mauro Baldo, a coach with a great deal of experience who also covers the role of technical director at Druscié.
