Sweden is ready for the next competitive year, with 39 athletes overall engaged among the various national groups. Twenty men and nineteen women, for the first season without the one who has been the reference of the Scandinavian team for many years, or the reigning Olympic slalom champion, Andrè Myhrer, who retired a few weeks ago as well as the gigantist Matts Olsson. Among the women, on the other hand, they said goodbye to Rapaport and Stalnacke, but just for the women's sector there is another novelty in view of 2020/21: this is the new head Christian Thoma, who has inherited the role held so far by Lars Melin. The expert Italian coach will try to bring Anna Swenn-Larsson to the first World Cup victory; the growth of the slalomist has been evident in the last season, with the triumph touched on several occasions between Flachau and Kranjska Gora, but also in the parallel slalom of St. Moritz. It will be the 28 year old from Mora to lead group 1, or the main team that will also count on Sara Hector, Estelle Alphand, Charlotte Saefvenberg, Emelie Wikstroem and Magdalena Fjaellstroem. In group 2, attention to the 2000 class Sara Rask, this year triumphing in the ranking of giant in the European Cup and therefore with a guaranteed permanent place. Among the boys, where the technical manager is Fredrik Kingstad, there are seven athletes in group 1 formed by the slalomist Kristoffer Jakobsen, the man who could have the greatest chances, as well as Mattias Roenngren, Gustav Lundbaeck, Lukas Karlberg, Tobias Hedstroem , Tobias Windingstad and William Hansson.
