As part of the "Piste Azzurre" project, athletes from the World Cup groups are also ready to train on the symbolic slope of Pozza. "We are ready", explains Giovanni Zulian.

Also in Val di Fassa the ski season is getting to the heart of the season, both on a tourist level since the slopes in the various ski areas are now open, in addition to the connections with the Sellaronda, but also on the competitive level.
From Tuesday 7 December, training starts in the Aloch Ski Stadium: the symbolic slope of Pozza di Fassa is one of the tracks that have been part of the project implemented for some time with the FISI, "Piste Azzurre", to welcome the various groups of the Italian national team (but dozens of high-level foreign athletes train on the Aloch in December and beyond) who will prepare the next events and the European Cup men's slalom itself from the next few days, scheduled for Thursday 16 December and flagship for many years.
“Three whole days were needed, practically 24 hours a day - explains Giovanni Zulian, snow manager of the Aloch slope - With temperatures around minus ten, we were able to produce that amount of snow that covered the natural one. A technical track such as the Aloch needs at least 50 cm of coverage to ensure depth and grip to the poles. For a track for tourist use, even 10 ”can be enough.
Sergio Liberatore, track director, is already in contact with the managers of the national teams that will bring the athletes to Val di Fassa. And after the slalom of the continental circuit, here are two days of competition for the Italian GP with slalom and giant. Access to the Aloch Ski Stadium is in line with current national regulations: mask and spacing are the primary rule.
