Val Gardena wins the challenge with Sestriere: the Italian candidate for the 2029 World Cup is official

The federal council has decided (net vote, 8-2): it will be South Tyrol that will try to bring home the world championship in alpine skiing, 59 years after the historic edition of 1970. In May 2024 the decision of the FIS (pending other foreign applications).
