The young Austrians dominate the SAC descents in La Parva, between the men seals of Hrobat and Schramm

Today in Chile the opening of the speed season with four South American Cup descents: Nussbaumer and Maier share the successes at the women's level.

In La Parva, after the SAC slalom, it's downhill time with four races (two female and two male) staged today on the Chilean snows, and the season of the South American summer circuit which will continue on Wednesday with a poker of super-g. Domination of the young Austrians, both in the first descent won by Vanessa Nussbaumer with 25 cents of margin against her compatriot Sabrina Maier and 27 on the Bosnian Elvedina Muzaferija (who in the last World Cup season began to carve out her space), while Wechner and Schilcher had to settle for fourth and fifth place, both in the encore of a race-2 with the same top five and only the inversion of the first two squares. In the bis descent, in fact, Maier gave up the whim of anticipating Nussbaumer by 18 cents, with Muzaferija third at + 0 ”44. The men's races were also quite interesting considering that some athletes with good stability in the World Cup showed up at the starting gate. For example Miha Hrobat, Slovenian who won the first downhill with 41 cents ahead of Chilean Henrik Von Appen, while Jacob Schramm preceded the other German Brence, fourth ahead of the second and third Slovenian, Aznoh and Naralocnik. Descent number 2 which instead rewarded Schramm, able to precede Von Appen, still second at 29 cents from the winner, and Hrobat third with almost a second behind. Same positions from fourth to sixth, but there was also an Italian at the start, with the 2003 born Bormino Carlo Giulio Arduino who finished 16th and 13th.
