"Levada", the dawn of a new beginning for the Swiss national team: the match kit presented

The Swiss Olympic champions (Odermatt, Feuz, Suter, Gut-Behrami and Gisin) will wear a decidedly renewed suit for the 2022/23 season: yesterday evening the official presentation, today the same World Cup winner will already use it in training in Zermatt .

It is called "Levada", or that of a new beginning for the Swiss Alpine ski team that recalls, in addition to red and white, the colors of dawn to present itself in the competition with a decidedly tantalizing kit that everyone, at home Swiss, they hope it will be as successful as that of the last two seasons. A squadron, that of Swiss-Ski, which on Tuesday evening was present, almost in full force, in Schlieren, in the Canton of Zurich, for the JED event organized by the federation led by Urs Lehmann in collaboration with the main partner Sunrise. The brand new suit of the ACEs will be worn by the winner of the World Cup, Marco Odermatt (who brought the crystal ball back to Switzerland 11 years after the triumph of Carlo Janka), in turn Olympic gold medal in Beijing 2022 as well as Corinne Suter, Beat Feuz, Lara Gut-Behrami and Michelle Gisin, not to mention other medalists and high profile athletes such as Wendy Holdener, Camille Rast, Loic Meillard and many others. A process, that of the creation of the “Levada” kit, preceded by a long process with Descente and the involvement of many other stakeholders. Racewear is a very important piece of the puzzle to success, where every detail has to be at the right point. “Our athletes represent Swiss skiing around the world, with the race kit guaranteeing great recognition value everywhere. The interest shown in the new design ahead of the presentation shows how emotionally linked the Swiss snow family is to the clothing we offer, ”said Urs Lehmann, president of Swiss-Ski. “This is the cornerstone of our partnership, we are very proud to have been able to help shape the new race kit. I am convinced that Levada will play its part in many other great Swiss achievements, ”added André Krause, CEO of Sunrise. MySports has put together this "development journey" by presenting it in a four-part video series. The first three parts of this mini-documentary were already screened yesterday evening at the event. The message is "keep getting up". To inspire people to dream big and do big things, a motto and a name that should also give Swiss-Ski athletes an extra boost as soon as they put on their racing apparel - the same federation says in its note print - The boys will receive their ski wear in the next few days so that they can complete their next workouts with the new look. The team around the winner of the World Cup, Marco Odermatt, currently in training in Zermatt, will do the first training laps with the new race kit already today.
