The blue ski mourns Alessandro Casse: the KL legend left us at 75 years old

Dad of Mattia, he was one of the greatest champions of KL, capable of signing the world record twice before becoming a coach and leading a certain Piero Gros.

For everyone it was "Cassiot", a myth linked to the world of blue skiing, as an athlete and technician, but above all as a great champion of the KL, the Launched Kilometro that brought to another dimension in the '70s. Twice world record holder (he reached up to 184,237 km / h), today Alessandro Casse has left us, who passed away at the age of 75 after an illness that took him away within a few months. Dad of Mattia, one of the best Italian downhill skiers, Sandro left this morning, as communicated by his other son Andrea. Born in Oulx, Casse had opened a sports shop in Vercelli with his wife Patrizia Varalda, after having also guided the career of another Italian ski legend, Pierino Gros, as a coach.
