The award dedicated to Serge Lang was presented today in Soelden by the Ski Journalists Association to the Swiss champion who won the last crystal ball. Then the meeting at Longines with Mikaela Shiffrin.

A well-deserved recognition, for the one who dominated the last competitive season, from the absolute World Cup to that of the giant, up to the Olympic gold between the wide gates.
Marco Odermatt received today in Soelden the "Skieur d''Or 2022", the trophy dedicated to the memory of Serge Lang, the inventor of the World Cup, with his son Patrick (president of the AIJS, the Association international ski journalists who determines the best athlete of the season) who personally presented the award to the champion of Buochs, who brings the Skieur d''Or back to Switzerland 12 years after the triumph of Carlo Janka.
Odermatt succeeds Alexis Pinturault (2021), Federica Brignone (2020) and Mikaela Shiffrin (2019) in the roll of honor; just the holder of the women's cup attended the meeting at the home of Longines, partner of the FIS, alongside her colleague from the Red Cross, on the immediate eve of the giant that on Saturday morning will open the 57th edition of the World Cup.
