The center of the skiing universe. Saas-Fee is hosting this week a lot of national teams and some of the stars that we will see protagonists in the next World Cup season. From Alexis Pinturault, who resumed training on the snow right on the Swiss glacier after a few weeks of athletic training alone, to the Norwegian squadron back in full force from today with Aleksander Aamodt Kilde together with Kjetil Jansrud and the young returning Atle Lie McGrath and Lucas Braathen, up to Giuliano Razzoli. The Olympic slalom champion is still training individually, as already planned together with the FISI staff, as he will meet his teammates (who left Saas-Fee just yesterday) only from next October. Mikaela Shiffrin also arrived in Saas-Fee last weekend; it is the return to Europe of the American queen, who was able to put together a beautiful base, a very different story compared to what happened in 2020, already in the spring months between Ikon Pass, in the Aspen area, and Mammoth Mountain. Now another important block in Switzerland, together with some teammates such as Nina O''Brien, who in the giant world champion in Cortina came close to a sensational medal and grew a lot last season. Most of the work, in this stage of preparation, Mikaela will carry out right between the wide doors. Soelden, who jumped last year when she was not yet ready to compete at the highest level, is after only two months.
