The FIS Congress, which is taking place these days at the Allianz Tower in Milan, has re-elected the Swedish Johan Eliasch as president for the two-year period 2022/24, the only candidate one year after his rise to the position of number 1 in the International Federation.
The new Council was also voted (eighteen people, in addition to the already confirmed Hannah Kearney and Jylha Martti as representatives of the athletes), where Flavio Roda obtained the highest number of consents. The President of the Italian Winter Sports Federation obtained 114 votes out of a maximum number of 117, followed by the Slovenian Enzo Smrekar with 113, the Canadian Deidra Dionne and the Swiss Urs Lehmann with 107, followed by the Norwegian Erik Roeste with 106, the Austrian Patrick Ortlieb at the same altitude and the Japanese Aki Murasato with 103, in addition to the Australian Dean Gosper with 102.
