Niki Lauda left us at age 70 and is an enormous void that leaves an icon of world sport and speed. The champion who won two world titles with Ferrari, in 1975 and 1977, also loved skiing a lot and, in the most awaited appointment of the year, he never lacked. Lauda and Kitzbuehel had a special relationship, so much so that in the last edition of the Hahnenkamm Trophy, in which for the first time in many years Niki could not be present due to his health problems, the participants in the charity competition ( including the Ferrari driver, Sebastian Vettel, who preceded the descent on the Streif had exhibited a banner, "Get Niki back soon". Unfortunately this was not the case because, after the lung transplant suffered in the summer of 2018, the non-executive president of Mercedes had further problems with kidney problems, dying in a Swiss clinic on Monday, as his family communicated overnight. .
