Cortina 2021
At a press conference in the Council Room of the City of Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Minister of Sports Luca Lotti illustrated the government's legislative interventions in favor of the 2021 Alpine Ski World Cup.

Following the greeting of Mayor Gianpietro Ghedina, who reaffirmed the commitment of the new Administration to work in synergy and to the best of all the actors involved, Lotti announced the appointment of the Board. Luigi Santandrea, Head of Department of the Ministry of Sport, Commissioner at Acta for the realization of the works.
During his speech, Lotti illustrated the Decree "Support Measures of the Cortina World Championships 2021", an innovative regulatory tool that gives Cortina the economic resources needed to carry out infrastructure projects and prioritized. "I am here - said the Minister - to confirm the determination of the Italian government to make Cortina 2021 a great event for the whole sport and the country. We have maintained all the commitments made during the Candidacy and today we are here to celebrate the last piece, the appointment of the Commissioner , Which will speed up the work on the works that will be used for the sporting event, and the resources allocated amount to approximately 280 million euros.
The Commissioner at Acta Luigi Santandrea then explained the perimeter of his role with the procedures and timing of the works plan that will be set up by September. He also recalled that his task would be to engineer the administrative processes that will allow the planning of project approvals.
The President of the Cortina Foundation 2021 Alessandro Benetton thanked those who are working for the organization of the World Championships, notably the FISI and the world of sport, emphasizing the importance of the cultural legacy of the event which will have to be inspired by great sustainability environmental. Benetton finally announced that in early August there will be a public moment in Cortina d'Ampezzo for the presentation of the whole team.
FISI President Flavio Roda, who was present at the meeting, commented positively on the work of the Cortina 2021 Foundation's renewed team. "I have seen today all the people involved in the project, which seems to me to be in the best of ways. The Foundation team is extremely effective and now you can do everything you need in the times and in the ways you do. "
