Another day full of FIS races: Colturi out again in the event of the Albanian championships (which see the US and the Parma rider prevail in the absolute rankings). The descent into Valtellina confirms the great form of the Paduan, the results also of Gressan, Folgaria and Prato Nevoso.

Sofia Pizzato wins again and does it in the... sprint, in the descent that opened the FIS event in Santa Caterina Valfurva, also valid for the Italian Grand Prix.
The young Paduan burned Cande Moreno from Andorra by just one cent, back from her first points in the CDM in Sankt Moritz, with Elena Dolmen third at + 0”28, on the podium ahead of the French Paslier and the Val Gardena Teresa Runggaldier. For the national circuit, in the young category (born between 2002 and 2006) success went to South Tyrolean Sara Thaler (sixth at the finish line) ahead of Emilian Ludovica Righi (thirteenth) and Carlotta De Leonardis (twenty-first). In the aspiring category (born in 2005 and 2006) victory of the day for Righi ahead of Camilla Vanni (44th overall) and Rita Granruaz (59th). A super-g is scheduled for Thursday.
Second day of competitions at Kronplatz, where the FIS also apply to the Albanian national championships: Lara Colturi, clearly expected in both giant slalom and slalom, came out today between the narrow posts in the 2nd heat, while Nina O''Brien went to win the absolute victory, beating the Latvian Dzenifera Germane by 19 cents, with Ambra Pomaré third at 1”25 ahead of Emilia Mondinelli and Annette Belfrond.
The men's slalom saw Tommaso Saccardi win with a good margin: the twenty-one year old from Parma ruled the Spanish Aingeru Garay by 42 cents, with Matteo Canins third at 64, while Manuel Ploner (yesterday third in giant slalom) finished fourth.
Prato Nevoso also competed today at FIS NJR level: men's giant in the hands of Alberto Claudani, with 58 cents of advantage over Giovanni Ongaro and 62 over Leonardo Rigamonti. Among the girls, first place for Alessandra Banchi, with 37 cents over Carlotta Varini and 2”73 over Margherita Ragona.
FIS NJR double slalom instead in Folgaria: Alex Ostoldi wins among the boys, with 34 cents on Fabian Cincelli and 1"26 on Edoardo Baldo, women's race that rewards Matilde Vianello on Virginia Righi (+ 0"82) and Angelica Bettoni (+ 1 ”37).
In Gressan, two more FIS slaloms after those of Tuesday: among men, clear success of the Japanese Shunnosuke Takada with over a second over the Italians Federico Vietti and Pietro Bisello. Double for the transalpine Louna Boiteux, who today beat the Belgian Kim Vanreusel, second at 36 cents, and Cecilia Pizzinato third (+ 0"85).
