“The Night Before” is the exciting Red Bull project which aims to tell stories and anecdotes about the professional and personal journey of the main Italian winter sports athletes. After the first two episodes aired in December, starring Sofia Goggia and Dorothea Wierer, the videos on Dominik Paris, Alex Vinatzer and Roland Fischnaller are now available online.
In the three episodes of the series each athlete tells "the night before" that changed his career forever, both from a professional and a human point of view, an unforgettable moment that is remembered in an intimate and profound way. Paris, Vinatzer and Fischnaller thus spend their night of "spiritual retreat" inside a mountain refuge - together with their coach or with a childhood friend - and decide to tell their story. Confession soon turns into a pleasant memory, recalling the moments and sensations that preceded a competition or an event that proved decisive in their lives: these are the crucial moments, where you need to be able to manage your own anxieties and fears to try to meet expectations and reach the most prestigious goals.
All 5 episodes of the series were produced over the course of a night and a day of training, with the aim of discovering the secrets of the physical and mental preparation of each athlete. The night represents the most intimate moment, where one indulges in the most spontaneous emotions and reflections. The day is instead the moment of maximum action, the moments in which adrenaline takes over and you can see the secrets of the extraordinary preparation of the three athletes. The result is three new evocative and exciting episodes that show us an unprecedented and personal side of these established champions, as in the case of Paris and Fischnaller, and emerging ones, such as Vinatzer.
