The classic appointment at Piz Sella, postponed compared to the traditional December dates, will close the season on the snow of Val Gardena.

The three-day Raiffeisen FIS Challenge in Selva di Val Gardena opens in the sign of Emanuele Buzzi, who had not imposed himself at the level of FIS appointments for over a year (or from the super-g tricolor of last season).
The sprinter from Sappada dominated the first descent at Piz Sella, finishing with more than a second margin on Mattia Cason and almost one and a half against Riccardo Allegrini, third, where from today until Thursday 7 April, we will see over 200 in the race athletes of international level, who will take part in the event usually scheduled at the beginning of December.
Wednesday 6 April, starting at 8 am, three races are scheduled - two women's and one men's descents, and finally four super-gs on Thursday. “Thanks to the snowfall this weekend, conditions are excellent throughout Val Gardena. They are so good that you would think the season is starting even if it is quite the opposite. Athletes can enjoy a perfectly prepared track. Behind the scenes, work is already underway on the 55th Saslong Classic. The men's super-g of the World Cup will be held on Friday 16 December 2022, while the great sporting spectacle in the heart of the Dolomiti Superski ski carousel will end on Saturday 17 with the classic descent on the Saslong. Furthermore, as known, the Saslong Classic Club is working hard on the candidacy for the 2029 Alpine Ski World Championships.
