Ski market, here are the first changes of material: Mair with Voelkl, Nef / Head and Raffort passes to Salomon

May is synonymous with ... materials, at least for those who have opted for a change in this sense at the end of the season. This is the case, for example, of the Austrian slalom racer Chiara Mair: announced in recent days the farewell to Atomic, after more than a decade with the "home" brand on her feet, the 24-year-old Tyrolean will race in the Olympic year with Voelkl, looking for permanent entry into the first sub-group of merit in his specialty, even if the level of Liensberger, Shiffrin, Vlhova and the other big names is really very high. Mair boasts a 6th place as his best result, but this year he took home a 7th, an 8th and a 9th. Another slalom rider from the '96 class has also decided to make a change, certainly among the most promising of the Swiss home and now firmly in the world top 20: it is Tanguy Nef, who announced her marriage to Head after leaving Fischner. Six top ten in the World Cup, the young Swiss is aiming for the call-up for his first Olympics, even if it will not be easy with appalling internal competition. After five years with Rossignol skis, the transalpine sprinter Nicolas Raffort moves to Salomon: at almost 30 years old, the native of Sallanches will try to level up after a not easy 2020/21 season. First top ten on the final of the previous one, 9th in the descent of Kvitfjell, he took home five places in points but always out of the top 20.
