The Memorial dedicated to Barbara Compagnoni will see many ex-Azzurri and an illustrious guest like Jure Kosir, one of Alberto Tomba's great rivals, take to the track

It will be a special Sunday in Santa Caterina Valfurva, for one of the last major events of the season related to solidarity skiing.
"Scia with the champions" will bring in Alta Valtellina, host of the hosts Deborah Compagnoni and Pietro Vitalini, a non-competitive race dedicated to the memory of Barbara Compagnoni, for a Memorial now in its 17th edition and which will see the participation of many champions of the present and the past.
Starting from the super guest of this year, the Slovenian Jure Kosir whom we all remember as Alberto Tomba's great rival; Matteo Marsaglia and Max Blardone, the champion of ski mountaineering Robert Antonioli, will be on the track, but also Peter Runggaldier, obviously Tino Pietrogiovanna and apparently also the legendary Gustav Thoeni.
The 2019 project is aimed at the non-profit association Skiing for Life, for the financing of the "genetic passport" of the onco-hematology center Maria Letizia Verga for the study and treatment of child leukemia. We will start at 9 am with the meeting of the teams in the Sunny Valley of Santa Caterina, at 10 am at the race and, from 12.30 pm, the outdoor lunch for all those who signed up for this great event.
