At the age of 90 (he would have turned 91 on 12 September), Josef Fischer passed away yesterday; The same Austrian company that "Pepi" has led since 1959, after the death of his father Josef who founded it in 1924, in Ried im Innkreis, announced it in the evening. He entered the family business at the age of 20, shortly after graduated in international trade in Vienna, returning to the company in 1951 and then inheriting the management, together with his sister, when he was only 30 years old. Fischer was a great innovator in production and marketing, receiving many awards in Austria and worldwide for having brought the brand to the highest level in the world, he who had among his absolute champion athletes like Franz Klammer in alpine skiing and Bjorn Daehlie in the fund, but which has always considered Egon Zimmermann's Olympic gold, in the descent of the Innsbruck 1964 Games, as the most satisfying moment at a sporting level.
