Yesterday the splendid initiative wanted by the Saslong Classic Club was inaugurated: the Norwegian, who last December scored a historic double in the Val Gardena fast races, and the local champions who wrote history were awarded.

It is called "Ski Champions Walk" and is the walk of the champions created by the very active organizing committee of the World Cup races in Val Gardena, the Saslong Classic Club chaired by Rainer Senoner.
On Tuesday there was the inauguration in Selva Val Gardena, in the presence of the champions who have written the history of skiing in Val Gardena and beyond: we are talking about Isolde Kostner, whose palmares is simply legendary, of the world champion Carlo Senoner, of the most anticipated man for the future (but he is already the present) of the blue slalom, Alex Vinatzer, and also of Peter Runggaldier and Florian Planker, medalist at Paralympic alpine skiing level (standard-bearer at PyeongChang 2018, at his sixth participation in the Games) and hockey on toboggan.
And then there was a very welcome guest who now feels at home in Val Gardena: we are talking about Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, who is training these days on the snows of the Stelvio and ready to receive, with the party at the Baita Saslonch, also the prize of the “Dolomites Val Gardena Ski Trophy” for the double success last December between super-g and downhill on “his” track, as the Norwegian champion has already won three times on the Saslong.
